I had planned to make the sleeves in o...Thank you!<br /><br />I had planned to make the sleeves in one piece and have a mostly loose band tie or button round the wrist, but I ended up having to piece it. It's perfectly period this way, and the look is pretty much the same.<br /><br />Yes, I split it down the front, it seemed the most common thing, and the only Swedish picture of a shortgown I found had this feature. It stayed closed perfectly fine for just posing for pictures, but I suppose it may gap when I move around a bit more. They look like a good length to me - they reach your knuckles! <br /><br />It appears you chose to split the gown entirely down CF? I chose not to do that because I was afraid of the lower CF edges gapping, but it looks like you have no difficulty with that.
